Popular Nigerian TikTok star and streamer Peller has revealed the deeply personal reason behind his decision to marry his fiancée, fellow content creator Jarvis, saying he is determined to break the cycle of his parents never getting married.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Peller shared that growing up in a home where his parents had children without being married motivated him to pursue a different path for his own future.
“My parents did not get married and gave birth to us. I want to break that curse and get married. Of course, I must do marriage,” he said.
The content creator disclosed that when he first informed his parents about his intention to marry Jarvis, they initially dismissed it as a joke and did not believe he was serious.
“I told my parents I want to get married, and when I told them, it was like a joke. They didn’t take me seriously. I told them, ‘I want to marry her. I love her,'” he recalled.
Jarvis, who also appeared on the podcast, shared details about the early days of their relationship. She revealed that although they had interacted before, they met physically for the first time in November 2024, adding that she was the one who planned their first date.
Peller also spoke about the difference between his online personality and his real-life character, explaining that the energetic and humorous version of himself seen on social media is largely for entertainment.
According to him, he is far more reserved and focused when he is away from the cameras.
“All people see online about me is the character. I’m more mature when I’m alone. If I’m at home alone, I sit down, write things and think about the next thing that will bring money. The only thing I bring to people is the character,” he said.
Addressing concerns that marriage could affect his career as a content creator, Peller expressed confidence that settling down would not reduce his creativity or success.
“If I marry at 30 years old, the way I perform now, I will still perform then,” he said.
