A minor drama unfolded in court when the magistrate, CB Mbaegbu, refused to hear him because he was not properly attired. Goshen, for his part, disagreed with the magistrate, citing a recent Supreme Court decision that allowed female students to wear hijab in public schools as a precedent.

A lawyer appears in court in pastoral robes, just days after his colleague stormed the court in?Juju Priest? garb.

He also insisted that it was his right, claiming that the Magistrate’s objection was an infringement on his fundamental rights as enshrined in Section 38 of the Constitution.
