Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has opened up about the events that allegedly led to his fallout with fellow rapper Odumodublvck, revealing that the dispute began after he discovered that they had been romantically involved with the same woman.
Blaqbonez made the disclosure while speaking on the Nevon Podcast, where he explained that he had been intimate with the woman before discovering that she was dating Odumodublvck.
According to the rapper, he did not initially know that the woman was in a relationship with Odumodublvck because he had never asked her who she was dating.
He said the situation changed after the woman sent him a message indicating that she could no longer continue their friendship. Blaqbonez said he considered the message “performative” and decided to ask her directly who she was dating.
It was then, according to him, that he discovered she was in a relationship with Odumodublvck.
Blaqbonez said he immediately decided to respect their relationship and distance himself from the woman.
“You guys won’t hear from me again. I will respect everything that you guys have. Peace,” he recalled telling her.
However, the situation reportedly escalated when Odumodublvck contacted him shortly after and questioned him about whether he had been intimate with the woman.
Blaqbonez said he refused to discuss the details because he did not know what the woman had told Odumodublvck and did not want to interfere in their relationship.
“I don’t know what she told you, so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have,” he said he told Odumodublvck.
According to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck then responded by declaring that they were no longer friends.
“Then we are enemies since you are not telling me. Peace out, bro,” Blaqbonez quoted him as saying.
Explaining the nature of his relationship with the woman, Blaqbonez said it was not an official romantic relationship but rather what he described as a “friends with benefits” arrangement.
“I can’t say we were dating or anything. It wasn’t official, but like, the best term to describe it would be like friends with benefits, right? Because we kind of like, were friends and we were intimate,” he explained.
The rapper said he subsequently asked Odumodublvck when his relationship with the woman had started. According to him, he wanted to establish whether she had ended her relationship with him before beginning a relationship with Odumodublvck.
Blaqbonez claimed that Odumodublvck declined to reveal when the relationship had started, leaving the situation unresolved and further deepening the tension between the two rappers.
The revelation has drawn renewed attention to the history of the relationship between Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck, with fans now debating the circumstances surrounding their reported fallout and whether the misunderstanding could have been avoided through clearer communication.
Blaqbonez’s account, however, represents his version of events, and Odumodublvck’s response to the latest claims was not included in the account.
