Nigerian comedian Apama has broken his silence after visa agent TMT was arrested over allegations of defrauding more than 200 Nigerians in connection with visa-related transactions.
The comedian had faced calls from some Nigerians for his own arrest because of his association with TMT, prompting him to clarify his relationship with the visa agent.
Apama insisted that he had never received money from TMT and was not affiliated with the company as an ambassador. He also denied benefiting from any visa services provided by the agent.
“For those saying I should be arrested, I have never collected a dime from TMT. I’m not his ambassador, and he has never processed any visa for me,” he said.
The comedian further revealed that he had previously attempted to intervene in the dispute, claiming that he contacted TMT earlier in the year and urged the agent to settle individuals who were allegedly owed money.

According to Apama, he tried to resolve the matter before it escalated publicly, adding that he believes the situation could have been avoided if his advice had been followed.
“I even messaged TMT earlier this year, asking them to settle the people he was owing. If he had listened to me, this case wouldn’t have gotten to VeryDarkMan,” he stated.
The controversy surrounding TMT gained significant attention following complaints from Nigerians who allegedly paid for visa-related services but claimed they did not receive the services or refunds they expected.
Apama’s clarification comes amid continued public scrutiny of individuals who were previously associated with TMT, as affected customers seek answers and accountability over the allegations.
The allegations against TMT remain subject to investigation, and the circumstances surrounding the reported transactions will ultimately be determined through the appropriate legal process.
