Stop paying ransom, promoting banditry in Southeast – Kanu tells govs, politicians

Kanunta Kanu, Nnamdi Kanu’s brother and the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said politicians and governors should stop encouraging banditry in the Southeast, Charmingpro reports

Governors and politicians, according to Kanu, should stop paying ransom to Southeast bandits.

Kanu stated in a tweet that the Southeast must be free of Fulani kidnappers.

He bemoaned the fact that bandits had been paid millions of dollars and that the Eastern Security Network, or ESN, had been targeted.

“The Eastern Region MUST be liberated from the hands of Fulani kidnappers,” Kanu says.

“Governors, politicians, and elites should stop encouraging banditry in Southeast by paying ransom to free abductees.”

“You pay bandits millions, victimize #ESN, and encourage @HQNigerianArmy killings of #Biafrans.”

Several people have been killed in the Southeast and ESN operatives have been blamed.
