Baba-Ahmed, a former permanent secretary, was the secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) spokesman recently met Obi, whom he praised for his determination to rebuild the country.

“I wish those who see him as an ethnic candidate could learn more about him.” I also hope that those attempting to sell him tone down his ethnic identity.

“I hope the nation sees the candidates up close; we may witness a revolution,” he tweeted.

SERG coordinator Willy Ezugwu said in a statement on Tuesday that Baba-Ahmed spoke as a patriot and courageous statesman rather than a politician.

“Anyone who believes otherwise is either a typical politician with a vested interest or an ethnic bigot who should not be taken seriously,” he emphasized.

Citizens, regardless of political or religious affiliations, have decided to abandon the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), according to Ezugwu (PDP).

He stated that no patriotic Nigerian can consider Obi’s presidential candidacy from an ethnic or religious standpoint because the candidate is well liked.

SERG stated that NEF leader Prof Ango Abdullahi “nailed it” when he stated that neither the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar nor the APC’s Bola Tinubu can solve Nigeria’s problems.

The statement urged supporters of good governance, the rule of law, infrastructure development, national unity, and the safety of people and property to turn out in large numbers next year.
