My certificates are missing – Tinubu’s running mate, Kabiru Masari

 

In the midst of a controversy over Bola Tinubu’s primary and secondary school certificates, his running mate, Kabiru Masari, has informed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that his original certificates are missing, Charmingpro reports.

Masari deposed to an affidavit on the loss of his primary and secondary school certificates in documents submitted to INEC.

 

 

Tinubu’s running mate revealed that he attended Masari Primary School in Katsina State from 1972 to 1978, earning a Grade 2 Certificate in 1982 and a Higher Certificate in 1995.

 

 

Masari stated in the sworn affidavit for ‘Loss of Some Original Documents’ obtained from Divisional Police Headquarter, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja, which was attached to the particulars he submitted to INEC, that in January 2021, while on transit within Wuse, Area FCT, Abuja, he lost his Grade 2 Certificate from Katsina Teachers College and First Leaving Primary School Certificate issued by Masari Primary School, Katsina State (1972-78).

 

He also stated that all efforts to locate the items were futile. The affidavit stated:

 

“Ibrahim Kabiru Masari, male, Muslim, Nigerian citizen of Abubakar Rimi Crescent, National Assembly Quarters, Apo, FCT- Abuja, take an oath and declare the following:”

“That I am the above-mentioned individuals and the true owner of the documents listed below.” That sometime in January 2021, while traveling within Wuse Area, FCT- Abuja, I discovered that my original Certificate of Occupancy of plot NoKT 17522, GRA Katsina Estate; Certificate of Kaduna State Development Centre from 1994-95; Grade 11 Certificate from Katsina Teachers College from 1979-83; and First Leaving School Certificate issued by Masari Primary School Katsina State from 1972-78 had been lost. That all efforts to locate the documents were futile, thus the need for this affidavit. That this affidavit is required for record purposes and for all authorities and individuals involved to take note.”
