2021 MTV Europe Music Awards : Wizkid, Tems Nominated [FULL LIST]

Wizkid and Tems have been nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards’ ‘Best African Act’ category in 2021. (EMA).

On Wednesday, the candidates for the annual award were announced.

Wizkid and Tems were nominated for the category after the success of their joint project, ‘Essence.’

Amaarae, Diamond Platnumz, and Focalistic were also nominated for the award.

Justin Bieber, the Canadian artist, received the most nominations with eight, followed by Doja Cat and Lil Nas X, who each received six.

The awards will be held on November 14 at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Budapest, Hungary, and will be aired live on MTV networks in 180 countries.

Reacting to her nomination, Tems said: “I’m extremely excited to be nominated for the Best African Act at the MTV EMAs. The last few years have been crazy and I am just grateful to God for all the blessings so far.

“I am honoured to be a part of the amazing voices from our continent who are breaking barriers and redefining music globally.”
