Stop acting like you’re running for CAN President – Deji Adeyanju to Peter Obi

Deji Adeyanju, a social commentator, has advised Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi to stop acting like he is running for President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Charmingpro reports

Adeyanju expressed concern on Saturday that Obi has been moving from church to church, appealing to only Christian voters.

The activist was concerned that people who should know better about politics were behaving like amateurs.

He claimed that playing the religious card would split the country along religious lines.

Adeyanju also advised that all discussions about the All Progressives Congress (APC) Muslim-Muslim ticket be put on hold.

“Peter Obi is moving up and down churches as if he’s running for president of CAN,” he said. It’s upsetting when people who should understand politics behave like amateurs.

“In 2023, the church must resist the religious card because if it fails, our other brothers will mock her.” Take your time with the religious card.

“If this does not happen, the country will become increasingly divided along religious lines in the coming months.” Slow down with the same religion ticket talk. For the wise, a single word suffices.
