Singer Fireboy thanks God for using Olamide to change his life

Popular Nigerian celebrity singer, Adedamola Adefolahan, better known as Fireboy DML, has appreciated God for placing Olamide in his life, and using Olamide to change his life.

Fireboy who revealed struggles he faced before his music career, is all thankful to God for his boss, Olamide.

In an interview on the 90s Baby Show in London, he opened up about his past, saying, “Thank God for that [Olamide signing me]. I was considering selling rechargeable lamps.”

Fireboy recounted meeting a guy under Ajah Bridge who was selling lamps and thought it was a more dignified business venture compared to selling pepper soup, which he was doing at the time.

“To me, at the time, it was more dignified. At least, people will call you a lamp seller. But selling pepper soup is crazy, bro.”

However, his life took a dramatic turn in 2018 when rapper and music executive Olamide signed him to YBNL Nation via WhatsApp.

This opportunity brought him into the spotlight, and he credits it for his current success. “My parents didn’t know I was doing menial jobs. It was crazy but now, we thank God.”
