The photos of the three medical students who were declared missing when their boat capsized on Saturday during a cruise trip in Calabar over the weekend have surfaced on social media.
The Nigeria Medical Students Association’s (NIMSA) annual Health Week in Calabar attracted medical students from universities all around the nation.
The young people reportedly traveled to the Marina Resort for a boat tour in an effort to get a feel for the city.
Sadly, the cruise ended in a boat capsize. Three of them were listed as missing, while ten students were saved.
Locals reportedly noticed the floating dead on Monday morning and informed Marine Police, according to reports.
The Cross River Police Commissioner said they recovered the bodies of two males and one female, adding that the bodies will be kept under proper care and contact made with relevant families before handover.
