BREAKING: Ekweremadu: Senate to send delegation to London

The Nigerian Senate announced on Tuesday that a high-level delegation would travel to London to meet with Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Charmingpro reports

The former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, was detained alongside his wife in the United Kingdom for alleged “organ harvesting.”

The Senate made its decision after meeting behind closed doors for two hours on Wednesday.

Senator Ekweremadu and his wife were praised by Senate President Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan for their efforts to get them released from detention.

He revealed that he met with the British High Commissioner, who briefed him on the status of the case as well as specifics about what happened.

Lawan went on to say that the Senate delegation would include members of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

“The Senate delegation will include members of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, who will depart in two days,” Lawan said.
