Ogbachalu Goshen, a Nigerian lawyer, appeared before the Okpoko Magistrate Court in the Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State today, dressed as a priest, Charmingpro reports.

A minor drama unfolded in court when the magistrate, CB Mbaegbu, refused to hear him because he was not properly attired. Goshen, for his part, disagreed with the magistrate, citing a recent Supreme Court decision that allowed female students to wear hijab in public schools as a precedent.

He also insisted that it was his right, claiming that the Magistrate’s objection was an infringement on his fundamental rights as enshrined in Section 38 of the Constitution.
