In a chat with Jamil Mabai of Cliqq TV, the Commissioner for Education in Katsina state revealed that the state government is now using dogs to fight banditry in the state.

The commissioner revealed that they deployed the local dog breed used by local hunters to boarding schools in the state to complement the security agencies.

This comes after the banditry attacks increased massively in the state.

When asked if the dogs were properly trained for it, the commissioner revealed that the dogs were born with the features of smelling danger. He added that the dogs are not to fight the bandits but alert security agents whenever bandits are near.
