Facebook has apologized to popular Nigerian cleric, Pastor Adewale Giwa, for deleting the prayers and bible verses he posted on the social media platform, Charmingpro reports

According to Facebook’s apology message to the Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, the deletion was done in error after reviewing its previous stance.

Giwa had chastised Facebook in April 2022 for censoring religious views and bible verses on the app.

The enraged pastor said Mark Zuckerberg’s app has gone too far in its stance on some posts, questioning why Facebook allows other issues on its platform but silences innocuous views and shuts down harmless voices.

The pastor had posted a new month’s prayer and bible verses on his Facebook page, which had been removed by the blue app.

According to Facebook, the post violated community standards, and the Pastor has threatened to leave the app until Facebook reverses its decision.
