Bandits gun down Catholic Priest, Fr. Vitus Borogo

In Kaduna State, armed men suspected of being bandits assassinated Rev Fr. Vitus Borogo, a Catholic priest.

According to Charmingpro, the incident occurred on Saturday at the Prison Farm, Kujama, along the Kaduna-Kachia Road, following a raid on the farm.

This was announced on Saturday night by Rev Fr Christian Emmanuel of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria in a statement.

“It is with a heavy heart, but total submission to God’s will that we announce the death of Rev. Fr. Vitus Borogo, which sad event occurred today, at Prison Farm, Kujama, along Kaduna-Kachia Road, after a raid on the farm by terrorists,” the statement reads.

“The Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna, Most Rev. Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso, expresses his condolences to the immediate family, the NFCS Family of Kaduna Polytechnic, and indeed the entire Kaduna Polytechnic Community, and assures them of his fraternal closeness and prayers.”

The 50-year-old priest was the Chaplain of the Catholic Community of the Kaduna State Polytechnic until his death.

Rev Fr. Vitus was also the Chairman of the Kaduna Chapter of the Nigerian Catholic Diocesan Priests Association (NCDPA).
