Ayanwole Ayantola, aka Ayan De First – Mr. Culture, the legendary African talking drummer has added another worthy feather to his cap.

Popular for his  resilient nature and  unwavering determination to promote Africa’s rich cultural heritage to the highest level in diaspora, Ayan De First’s academic achievements are no less impressive.

Equipped already with a first degree in Arts from OAU, Ife, Nigeria, and other qualifications from the London School of Graphics, and the London College of Arts, both U.K. higher institutions of Arts in the city of London,  his strive for academic excellence is far from over. 

 

Ayanwole Ayantola recently bagged another degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Coventry University, London.  His graduation ceremony was a memorable and colourful one, with Ayan sporting his distinguished signature traditional attire and his talking drum in hand. 

In his own words, ‘Believing in oneself is a strong drive to succeed’. My decision to study Tourism and Hospitality Management at Coventry University, is to empower myself with relevant knowledge and skills, to enable me contribute effectively to the development of tourism in my great country Nigeria’.  

‘Indeed, this achievement fills me with a sense of pride and great excitement  in anticipation of decades to come, as a contributor of innovative ideas to the world of tourism in Africa, particularly in Nigeria’.
