Popular Nigerian celebrity singer and Nigerian Idol judge, Ric Hassani has dropped his opinion on why artistes cancel their tours.

Ric opined that multiple stakeholders, including touring and management companies, are often involved in high-level production shows.

Ric made these revelations in a recent interview.

He further revealed that cancellations can stem from various factors, such as contractual issues, poor ticket sales, or other logistical challenges, rather than solely the artist’s decision.

He highlights the sacrifices artists make to perform and suggests that the intricacies of the industry can lead to tour cancellations.

Hear him:

“I do not know why that happens. I feel like a lot of artists who cancel their tours, there are a lot of other companies that are involved, from touring companies to management companies, on that level. Maybe some funny contracts somewhere, or maybe it could be ticket sales or whatever.

“This is our job, this is our career, we sacrifice a lot to perform. I believe it might be entirely the artist’s decision. So, these levels of tours that are being cancelled are high-level production shows, if you check it. There are a lot of people and companies involved, so it can be cancelled for whatever reason”.
