Transgender model, 10, becomes youngest to walk the New York Fashion Week runway

A 10-year-old transgender model has become the youngest transgender model to ever walk the runway at New York Fashion Week, Charmingpro reports 

 

Young Noella walked the runway for Trans Clothing Company designer Mel Atkinson.

 

Noella was born male but began socially transitioning when she was four years old.

 

“It feels good to know that I’m already inspiring trans children to be themselves,” the child model said.

 

Dee McMaher, 35, and Ray McMaher, 32, are extremely proud of their daughter.

“Noella never gets nervous or scared of anything,” Dee said. She’s a miniature professional!

 

“She was ecstatic to walk down the catwalk, ecstatic to see all the people and cameras.” She understands how to work a crowd.

 

“We are so proud of Noella for being the first trans child to walk the runway at New York Fashion Week; we admire her courage and determination.”
