President Buhari’s nephew dumps APC after losing re-election ticket

Hon. Fatuhu Muhammad, a member of the Daura/Sandamu/Maiadua Federal Constituency in Nigeria, has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Charmingpro reports 

 

Muhammad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, had been unable to secure re-election. He received only 30 votes, while his opponent, Aminu Jamo, received 117 votes.

In a letter to the APC chairman of Sarkin Yara ‘A’ Ward, Daura, the lawmaker expressed gratitude to the party for allowing him to serve his constituents.

 

The letter, dated July 13, 2022, was shared on Sunday by his legislative aide, Ahmed Ganga.

 

 

“I am writing to inform you that I have resigned my membership in the All Progressives Congress (APC) with immediate effect, effective Wednesday, July 13, 2022.” “Please find attached my Party Membership Registration slip with slip No. KT/DRA/10/00002,” the letter stated.

 

“While I thank you and the Party for the opportunity to serve the people of Daura/ Sandamu/ Mai ‘Adua Federal Constituency while working with the Party, please accept my best wishes.”
