Presidency: Time to tell Nigerians truth – Wike on PDP over Atiku, Okowa

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has downplayed the possibility of leaving the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as a result of the party’s presidential primaries  Charmingpro reports

Wike stated that he would soon tell Nigerians the truth about the PDP’s situation.

He spoke to journalists at the Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State’s capital on Friday, shortly after returning from a foreign trip.

“I’ve decided to keep quiet because I adore the PDP.”

“I have completed my social contract with the people of Rivers.” However, it is past time to inform Nigerians of the truth.

“I am not and will not be a slave.” “I am a freeborn citizen of the country,” he declared.

Wike is upset with PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s selection of Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.

Atiku was accused of ignoring the recommendations of a committee he formed to choose his running mate.

Wike, who finished second in the presidential primaries, was chosen as Atiku’s running mate by a committee led by Governor Samuel Ortom.
