On Monday, June 20, the pastor and his son were apprehended in Abuja’s Kubwa neighborhood.

According to a source, the pastor and his son were arrested on Tuesday, June 21, after a tricycle rider approached the police and told them that he transported the three sacks used to conceal the victim’s and the animals’ remains.

In Abuja, a pastor and his son were arrested after a female corpse was discovered in a river.

“The son lied to the Keke rider that the sacks were scraps and asked him to take them to the PW Bridge dumping site,” the source said. He was charged N1,000 by the rider.

“The contents were discovered and alerted people the following morning after the baban bola (scavengers) broke the bags in their usual search for items.” The information reached the Keke rider, who voluntarily led the cops to the church.”

Police led the pastor’s son, who was in handcuffs, and the pastor into a police van around 3 p.m. on Monday.

The police later returned to the area on Tuesday afternoon, June 21, to conduct additional searches of the building before sealing off the church grounds.

The father and son are still being held by police.
