Davido, a popular singer, has insisted that Ademola Adeleke, the governor-elect of Osun State, has yet to receive his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Charmingpro reports.
Davido, whose uncle’s name is Adeleke, stated this in a tweet on Tuesday via his Twitter handle.
According to the Charmingpro, INEC declared Adeleke the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun on Sunday.
Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, the INEC Returning Officer, announced the results, saying Adeleke received 403,371 votes to defeat his closest rival, Gov. Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 375,027 votes.
“We have yet to receive our certificate 48 hours after our @AAdeleke 01 victory in the Osun Gubernatorial elections.” Should we send you fuel money, @inecnigeria? “LOL,” Davido wrote on Twitter.
“No one should meddle with the will of the Osun People!” As required by law, issue the certificate!
