NURTW warns members against 2023 politics

The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has advised its members to avoid partisan politics, Charmingpro reports

AbdulKareem AbdulRasak, Chairman of Kwara State, stated that the body is committed to holding peaceful elections in 2023.

“Once you become a member, you cannot support any political party, let alone campaign for or travel with them,” he told NAN.

Anyone found participating in rallies or fighting for politicians will be punished and dismissed, according to the chairman.

“This is to ensure the country’s peace and stability before, during, and after the elections,” he explained.

The union leader also expressed regret that many people had a negative attitude toward commercial drivers.

“There will be no more thugs and hooligans in NURTW.” We are now responsible and respected individuals.” AbdulRasak also stated
