40-year-old man pushes creditor to death

A 40-year-old herb seller has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his creditor, Mr Rufus Olayinwola, Charmingpro reports

The suspect, simply known as William, admitted to getting into an argument with the deceased, who had loaned him money, and pushing him to his death.

While arraigning the suspects on Monday at the Command’s headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, SP. Adewale Osifeso, the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), stated that the suspect also stole the vehicle used as collateral for the loan after killing the deceased.

“This is the sixth vehicle I used as loan collateral with the man who ended up selling it when I was unable to pay the loan and the balance was given to me,” the suspect explained.

“I didn’t want to lose this last vehicle, so I approached him and asked him to return a portion of the money he had loaned to me, but he refused.”

“This led to an argument between me and the man, and I pushed him against the wall, resulting in his death, and I took the car away.”

The suspect was found in possession of a Lexus 300 SUV and pepper spray.
