Mr Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel to the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra IPOB, has lamented the continued detention of his domestic staff by the Department of State Service, DSS, since June 6, 2021, when his ancestral home in Anambra State was allegedly invaded by security operatives, Charmingpro reports

Ejiofor pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari and the Attorney General of the Federation AGF to persuade the Director General of the DSS to release the domestic staff immediately and unconditionally.

Ejiofor demanded immediate compliance with the court verdict to release his detained workers at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, following the judgment of a Federal High Court that declared his house invasion barbaric, uncivilized, illegal, and unconstitutional.

In his July 22 judgment, Justice Hassan Nganjawa ordered the Police, DSS, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, and the Nigerian Army to pay the lawyer N107 million in compensation for the unlawful invasion of his home and the destruction of his personal property.
