Shocking Allegations from Bishop Oyedepo’s Household: Food Waste, Hungry Staff, and 24/7 Surveillance

In a world where wealth and faith often intertwine, few names shine as brightly as Bishop David Oyedepo, the charismatic founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel. Known for his lavish lifestyle, private jets, and sprawling Canaanland empire, Oyedepo is a towering figure in Nigeria’s religious and social landscape.

However, a recent claim from an alleged former employee of Bishop Oyedepo has revealed a troubling picture of waste, control, and disparity within the walls of his private residence.

An X user, with handle @greatness0220, who claimed to have worked in Bishop Oyedepo’s household dropped a bombshell: “I worked in Bishop Oyedepo’s house and they throw food away every day, but you as a cook dare not eat even in the kitchen.” The claim paints a stark contrast between excess and deprivation. While mountains of food are allegedly discarded daily, kitchen staff are reportedly forbidden from touching even a morsel. The reason? A chilling level of oversight—CCTV cameras allegedly monitor the kitchen 24/7, ensuring no one steps out of line.”

But it gets worse. The alleged whistleblower goes on to describe the security team as “always looking hungry and haggard,” calling it “a sad sight.” The image of well-fed elites wasting food while employees go hungry is a gut punch, especially in a country like Nigeria, where millions struggle to afford basic meals. Could this be true in the home of a man who preaches prosperity and divine provision?

This comes after another X user made the post below, in response to another X post about people who live with rich folks going hungry;

“This is not a joke. I experienced this. Some of the most selfish people are the wealthiest. They will throw away a lot of expired food, but God forbid anyone touches it before it expires, the police will arrest them. I now give away food to cleaners and others because of it.”

Charming recalls that this isn’t the first time Bishop Oyedepo has faced scrutiny. Over the years, his wealth and leadership style have sparked debates. In 2014, reports surfaced that he was banned from entering the UK over allegations that church donations were funneled to Nigeria to fund his lavish lifestyle, though his team denied these claims. In 2020, he made headlines for dismissing the COVID-19 pandemic’s severity, calling it a “mere noise” and opposing church closures. And who can forget the 2011 video of Oyedepo slapping a teenage girl he accused of witchcraft, sparking global outrage? These incidents paint a picture of a man who wields immense power—and isn’t afraid to use it.

So far, there’s been no official response from Bishop Oyedepo or his ministry to these allegations. The lack of concrete evidence leaves room for skepticism, could this be a disgruntled former employee spinning a tale? Or is it a rare peek behind the curtain of a carefully curated image?
