Lightning

According to reports, lightning hit three alleged kidnappers in the rural town of Oro Ago in Kwara State’s Ifelodun local government area.

The event, which was connected to local watchdog efforts in the Igbomina-Kwara axis to address security issues, occurred three days ago, according to the Nigerian Tribune.

The victims of the lightning strike were purportedly suspected members of an eight-man kidnapping ring that allegedly operated in Iwo, Osun state, roughly two weeks ago, according to reports.

The occurrence was confirmed to the publication by a source within the Oro-Ago Development Union (ODU), a sociocultural group of local residents. The source claimed that members of the vigilance team in the region updated the organization on the development.

Speaking on the incident, the state police Commissioner, CP Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, said that the Command and its men had already commenced investigation on the development.

The CP said that veracity of the incident would be ascertained after diligent investigation.
