Charmingpro reports that suspected attackers of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, have reportedly been apprehended.

A viral video shows a crowd protesting inside the palace of the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye.

“They want to take them (suspects) to Akure,”

one of them could be heard saying. The youths are enraged.”

Last Sunday, gunmen stormed a church in Ondo and murdered several worshippers, including women and children.

The death toll has risen to 40, with others injured still being treated at the hospital.

The police confirmed that some of the assailants disguised themselves as congregants and fired shots from AK-47 rifles.

The security agency also stated that three unexploded Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered at the scene.
