As the 2023 general elections approach, Dino Melaye, a former Nigerian Senator, has warned against attacks on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, Charmingpro reports
Dino said in a video posted on Sunday on his social media accounts that those in Atiku’s camp will no longer remain silent when people mock the former Vice President’s personality.
According to him, the attacks are distractions from the opposition party’s efforts to rescue the country from its current state.
“While we advocate for all Nigerians’ support, we want to make it clear that we will not tolerate disparaging, ridiculing, diminishing, or using foul language against Atiku Abubakar,” he said.
“If you come looking for Atiku, we will come looking for you.” We will no longer remain silent in the face of characters who want to use propaganda and lies to disparage and disrespect Atiku Abubakar’s person and personality.
“The only business we have now is to save our country, and it is not just the business of PDP members, but of every Nigerian.”
