Oba Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, has stated that no less than nine (9) traditional chiefs in Ibadan are due for promotion, Charmingpro reports.
This was revealed by the monarch in a statement signed by his Personal Assistant, Chief Akeem Rufai.
The monarch stated in a statement made available to Charmingpro on Tuesday that one of the nine traditional chiefs due for promotion is Senator Teslim Folarin, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate.
He stated that Folarin will be replaced by Asaaju Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Senior Chief Ismaila Akinade Fijabi will be promoted to Aare Alaasa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Saka Fola Lapade to Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Muibi Ademola Adewuyi to Ayingun Olubadan of Ibadanland, and Chief Raufu Yesufu Delesolu to Aare Ago Olubadan of Ibadanland.
On Friday, the monarch announced that the traditional chiefs would be promoted to the next rank at Alli-Iwo Palace.
According to the statement, the Olubadan would oversee the promotion of the chiefs.
The current Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun, ascended the throne in March of this year, according to charmingpro.
The monarch belongs to the Alli-Iwo compound.
