In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a building in Lagos collapsed, Charmingpro reports.

The incident happened on Oke Arin Street, off Shyllon in the Ilupeju neighborhood.

Emergency personnel are on the scene, but it is unclear whether there are any casualties.

Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the collapse.

According to the official, the service’s Alpha Cobra team is on the scene to conduct a rescue operation.

The incident happened less than two weeks after a church under construction on Cardoso Street, off Martins Street in Mushin collapsed.
