Aliyu Giwa has warned that adultery is a criminal offense punishable by two years in prison, Charmingpro reports

He wrote on Twitter: “Do you have any idea? Adultery is a felony punishable by two years in prison! Sections 387 and 388 of the ‘PENAL CODE LAW’ state: 387. Male adultery 388.
“Woman’s Adultery Whoever, being a man or woman subject to any customary law in which extramarital sexual inter-course is recognized as a criminal offence, has sexual intercourse with a person who is not and whom he knows or has reason to believe is not his wife/husband, such sexual intercourse not amounting to rape, is guilty of adultery and shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years.
