Toyosi Etim Effiong, wife of Nollywood actor Daniel Etim Effiong, has shared her unconventional views on marriage and infidelity, stating that cheating is not a dealbreaker for her.
She made the disclosure during a recent episode of the Toke Moments podcast, where she spoke candidly about relationships, commitment and the role faith plays in sustaining her marriage.
According to Toyosi, her approach to marriage prioritises spiritual support and intentional effort over walking away when challenges arise. She revealed that she even set up a prayer group for wives in the entertainment industry, aimed at praying for their husbands and strengthening their homes.
“Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me. I even created a prayer group — the Wives of Entertainers Prayer Group — so we can pray for our husbands, that Jezebels will not carry them,” she said.
She explained that rather than allowing infidelity to automatically end a marriage, she believes in relying on faith, prayer and emotional resilience to navigate such issues. Toyosi added that love, understanding and consistent communication are essential to keeping a marriage strong, especially in an industry often marked by public scrutiny and temptation.
