Reality TV star and media personality Mercy Eke says she is prepared to have a child even if she remains unmarried. Speaking in a recent interview, the former Big Brother Naija winner revealed that she feels fully capable of raising children on her own and is open to having as many as three kids without a husband.
Eke explained that marriage is not a priority for her at the moment because she has not met the right partner. According to her, if pregnancy happens now, she will go ahead and keep the baby, stressing that she has the resources and stability to raise a child.
She pointed out that the social stigma around having children outside wedlock often affects those who are financially vulnerable. In her view, her economic independence gives her the freedom to make such a decision without fear of judgement.
Despite this stance, Eke maintained that she is still hopeful about eventually meeting the right person and settling down when the time is right.
