Actor Yomi Fabiyi has issued a public reaction following the release of Baba Ijesha, sharing a lengthy Instagram statement in which he expressed relief and described the actor as “back and better.”
Fabiyi applauded the parts of the court’s judgment that favoured Baba Ijesha, adding that he believes some aspects of the original accusations, particularly those involving a minor, were, in his view, mishandled.
He repeatedly stressed that his comments reflected his personal stance and not the position of the court.
He went on to make fresh claims about the handling of the case, alleging that individuals involved in the initial sting operation gave conflicting information regarding the minor’s age.
Fabiyi also accused some parties of procedural misconduct and claimed the girl suffered negligence during the evidence-gathering process.
In his statement, he further criticised comedian Princess, who played a central role in bringing the case forward, alleging that her actions contributed to emotional distress.
Fabiyi again emphasized that these assertions were his personal opinions and were not supported by any new legal findings.
Baba Ijesha’s release has reignited debate around the case, with Fabiyi’s remarks drawing strong reactions from supporters and critics alike.
