The AfroEuropa Gala and Awards Night 2025 is already making headlines as the list of this year’s awardees has been unveiled, and it’s nothing short of impressive. Seven outstanding individuals were handpicked for their exceptional contributions to leadership, social inclusion, and global impact.
Leading the pack is His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, Nigeria, who received the AfroEuropa 2025 Prestigious Star Award. The honour celebrates his remarkable record of good governance, rapid project execution, and commitment to diversity and social inclusion at every level.

Renowned fashion and entertainment influencer Fumi Desalu-Vold was also honoured with the AfroEuropa 2025 Prestigious Star Award for her continuous advocacy and representation in global social inclusion through her creative work and influence.

Two notable figures, Dr. Dayo Olomu and Dr. Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor, each received the AfroEuropa 2025 Star Leadership Award. Dr. Ogboro-Okor’s recognition comes particularly for her selfless dedication to humanitarian causes across the U.K. and beyond, while Dr. Olomu’s leadership legacy continues to inspire many across communities.


The AfroEuropa 2025 Star Recognition Award wwent to Josiah Famurewa and Olatokunbo Mojisola Sonowo, both were celebrated for their commendable achievements and influence in their respective fields.


Rounding off the list is Oluwaseun Ikusika, the recipient of the AfroEuropa 2025 Rising Star Award, symbolising the new generation of achievers making waves in their industries.
