2023: Tinubu’s Muslim-Muslim ticket a sign of war – Prophet Iginla warns

Prophet Joshua Iginla, General Overseer of the Champions Royal Assembly, has reacted to the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket, Charmingpro reports.

The APC Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket, according to Prophet Iginla, is a “sign of war.”

Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, chose Borno State Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

Tinubu is a Muslim from the country’s south, while Shettima is a Muslim from the north.

Tinubu’s choice ran counter to calls from Nigerians for a Christian running mate.

Iginla reacted by calling Tinubu’s decision “insensitive.”

“I asked myself, in a country like Nigeria with too many strong religious beliefs, why will the ruling party go for a Muslim-Muslim ticket?” Iginla told his church members in Abuja. Why will their presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, hold such an opinion? If we don’t know, we’re sounding the war drum in a place where, despite our differences, there is unity, peace, and understanding. Nigeria is a country for all people and does not adhere to any particular religion. It has never happened in this country before. Why is it now?

“If we are to make Nigeria great, we must make equity, justice, and sensitivity the watchwords of our leaders.” In my heart, I beg; this was not the Nigeria I was born into. This was not the Nigeria for which our great heroes fought. What exactly is going on? Please save us, our leaders, because the Muslim-Muslim ticket is a sign of war.
