The 2026 AfroEuropa Gala & Awards Night was filled with memorable moments as distinguished personalities, community leaders and guests gathered to celebrate humanitarian service, leadership and achievements within the African and European communities.
One of the major highlights captured on video was the presentation of the AfroEuropa 2026 Humanitarian Award to Mrs Titilayo Akintunde by the Mayor of Barking & Dagenham, Councillor Manzoor Hussain.
The award presentation was one of the defining moments of the gala, as Akintunde was recognised for her humanitarian contributions.
Also featured was Dr Ambassador Alistair Soyode, Chief Executive Officer of BEN TV, proudly displaying his AfroEuropa 2026 Leadership Award after being honoured at the event.
The celebration later took a more relaxed and entertaining turn, with prominent personalities joining guests on the dance floor.
Among those captured enjoying the moment were the Mayor of Islington, Her Worshipful Councillor Rosaline Ogunro, and two-time Mayor of Enfield, Dr Kate Anolue.
The colourful moments highlighted the celebratory atmosphere of the AfroEuropa 2026 Gala & Awards Night, which brought together distinguished guests and members of the African and European communities for an evening of recognition, entertainment, networking and cultural celebration.
The event was held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at The City Pavilion, Collier Road, Romford, United Kingdom, and was convened by Maureen Keke Layokun.
