According to reports, a power surge caused a fire that destroyed a portion of the Ooni of Ife’s palace.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28, the electrical appliances in the impacted apartment exploded, and shortly after, a fire ravaged the palace’s courtyard.
According to reports, the fire was extinguished with the help of the fire department, royal staff, and locals.
The issue has been brought under control, according to Otunba Moses Olafare, the palace’s spokesman.
