Dr. Jill Biden tested positive for Covid-19 and is experiencing mild symptoms, according to her spokesperson on Tuesday, August 16, Charmingpro reports

Jill tested positive for COVID-19 on the last day of a family beach vacation in South Carolina, just days after President Biden recovered from a weeks-long illness.

Despite being double-vaccinated and boosted, she tested positive for a PCR after experiencing “cold-like symptoms” on Monday evening, according to her spokesperson, Elizabeth Alexander.

According to the statement, the first lady, 71, has been prescribed the antiviral Paxlovid and will be isolated from others for at least five days.

“The First Lady’s close contacts have been notified. She is currently staying at a private residence in South Carolina and will return home once two consecutive negative COVID tests are obtained “said Alexander.

Since last week, the first lady has been on vacation with President Joe Biden on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. She was scheduled to visit Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., on Thursday.

Biden tested negative on an antigen test Tuesday morning, according to the White House. He will wear a mask for 10 days while indoors and in close proximity to others as a close contact of the first lady. It also stated that it will increase his testing frequency and report the results.
