Suleiman Aliyu Garga, a Special Assistant on Content Creation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, has tragically passed away following complications from a dental procedure.
Just days before his death, Garga had expressed severe discomfort from a toothache, appealing for prayers via his Facebook page on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
“Pray to God to protect you from toothache, even if it’s just for a minute, Alaji. Allah is sufficient for us and the best to rely on,” he posted, hinting at the intensity of his pain.
Garga was later admitted to Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, where he underwent surgery to treat the condition. However, reports indicate that the surgical site began to bleed excessively, leading to his death on Saturday, July 20 — barely a day after the operation.
His funeral was conducted the following morning, Sunday, July 20, at the Yolde Pate Muslim Cemetery in Yola. The burial took place after the Sallah Raka’at prayers at Modibbo Zailani Mosque in Yola Town, in line with Islamic customs.
Garga’s sudden death has left many in shock, especially given the seemingly minor nature of his initial complaint.
