Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, Dayo Amusa Reportedly Petition Police Cybercrime Unit Against Lizzy Anjorin

Several Nollywood actresses, including Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, and Dayo Amusa, have reportedly petitioned the police cybercrime unit over alleged online harassment and defamatory statements made against them by colleague Lizzy Anjorin.

According to reports circulating online, the actresses submitted formal complaints to the appropriate law enforcement authorities, accusing Anjorin of repeatedly using social media platforms to make claims they consider false, damaging, and harmful to their reputations.

Sources familiar with the development say the petition calls for an investigation into alleged cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and the spread of defamatory content, which are offences under Nigeria’s Cybercrimes Act. The actresses are said to be seeking legal protection and accountability rather than engaging in further public exchanges online.

While details of the petition have not been officially released by the police, the move is believed to be connected to a series of public videos and posts in which Lizzy Anjorin allegedly mentioned or alluded to fellow actresses in a negative manner.

As of the time of filing this report, Lizzy Anjorin has not publicly responded to the reported petition, and the police cybercrime unit has yet to issue an official statement confirming receipt or outlining next steps.

The development marks a new phase in the long-running tensions within Nollywood, as more industry figures appear willing to pursue legal channels instead of social media confrontations.
