Thugs disrupted the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Ijesha, Surulere, Lagos State, on Friday, Charmingpro reports

The thugs took the Continuous Voter Registration machines from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The incident occurred less than 72 hours before INEC closed the CVR.

Following the incident, the Parish Priest locked the church and fled for safety.

According to an eyewitness, Dr. Ambassador Princess Okojie Igbemudia, the thugs stormed the church and disrupted the exercise because those registering will vote for Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.

It was learned that police had been dispatched to the area to maintain peace and order.
