2020, the Nollywood Entertainment Industry, came through with some amazing and splendid movies which kept us company althrough the pandemic. So today’s update, i made some collections of movies that went viral and fans absolutely loved in 2020.

1. SUGAR RUSH:

The splendid Director of this unique movie is no other than Kayode Kasum. The movie was released 25th December, 2019 but made it’s hit from then till 2020 that’s why it made the list of 2020 loved movies.

This movie was enjoyed by almost all category of personalities as it covers most aspect of things happening in the society and as well made so much punchs in the comic aspect which got the watchers tied to it in suspens till the end.

In the movie, it made start with sugar and her 2 younger sisters, but bombed in more after Sugar sisters accidentally discover $800,000 in the house of a corrupt man, they must team up with unlikely allies to set things right.

From the very moment the creative movie director by name Kunle Afolayan, announced that the movie was in the works, anticipation among fans went all the way up. The splendid movie Citation was packed with talents who delivered beyond expectations and most students particularly enjoyed this piece as they claimed they related to it in different ways.

The movie released 6th November, 2020 made it’s hit from that moment althrough 2020 giving the best and also the talented and creative filmmaker did not disappoint, also for the first time, Nigerians saw billionaire daughter, Temi Otedola, on screen. It was wow and talk not because i myself fell inlove with the movie at first sight.

3. LIVING IN BONDAGE

Living in Bondage is another spectacular movie that kept fans on the edge of their seats especially for those who had watched or heard of the first part about 27 years ago.

The movie was talk not as it also delivered very well like the first part which was watched in the 1990’s. Living in Bondage was packed with veterans who knew their onions and delivered as expected, same as the creative director, Ramsey Nouah, did not disappoint.

4. ELEVATOR BABY

Elevator baby was well received by all Nollywood lovers all over the world as most of them revealed that it was relatable and they enjoyed every minute and second of it. It was with no doubt creative and carried the watchers along till the end with lot’s of suspens.

The main characters of the splendid movie, Toyin Abraham and Timini Egbuson, also went all out to bring their characters to life and made the movie a great hit of 2020, i personally can testify to it.

5. FATE OF ALAKADA

Creative Director, Toyin Abraham has never disappointed her fans with any of her Alakada series. She made her fans enjoy every bit of the splendid movie. The star-studded movie had fans reeling with laughter as expected.

The movie with no doubt should go viral as it featured a trending Nigeria comedian, Broda Shaggi.

6. OLOTURE

Talented Nigeria Actress, Omoni Oboli and Sharon Ooja came through with the superb acting as well as the other casts.

The movie Oloture, had people analysing and guessing at the end. Many Nigerians loved the movie for the fact that it was eye-opening and reflected the reality of most Nigerian women and journalists in a way.
