Soludo sworn-in as Anambra Governor, reveals first plan of action

Prof Chukwuma Soludo, the governor-elect of Anambra State, has been sworn in as the state’s governor.

Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, the State Chief Judge, swore him in at the Anambra State Government House at 9:45 a.m.

Several dignitaries, including the outgoing governor, Chief Willie Obiano, and his wife, Mrs Ebelechukwu, as well as all 30 members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, were present at the occasion.

The new Governor is already inspecting the guard of honour, which is his first responsibility as Governor of the State, as at the time of publishing this article.

The Governor had previously announced that immediately following his inauguration, he would travel to Okpoko, a huge slum near Onitsha, where he would labor for eight hours to improve the lives of the residents.
