Sad News as NECO Exam was Postponed Over EndSARS Protests

Updates today, The National Examination Council postponed Paper I Computer Studies Practical’s scheduled for to be held on Monday, 19th October, 2020, until November 16th, 2020. Please all NECO Students Take Note.

This statement was made on Sunday 18th October, 2020 by Azeez Sani, Head of Information and Public Relations Division for NECO.

In his Statement, Azeez Sani said the decision was taken because of the ongoing ENDSARS protests, affecting the human and vehicular movement.

He further explained that the protest had affected the supply of examination materials.

In Azeez Sani Statement, it read, “This is to inform the general public and especially candidates that the National Examinations Council (NECO) has been constrained to reschedule the Paper I Computer Studies Practical’s earlier scheduled to take place on Monday 19 October 2020, 10am to 1pm. The examination of this paper will now hold on Monday 16 November 2020, 10 am-1 pm.

This sudden unforeseen incident has been caused by the ENDSARS protest that blocked the free movement of transport at the City entrance gate Benin, Nigeria.

It was also reported that The NECO delivery truck which had left its take-off point in advance 2 days earlier to deliver NECO examination materials to some states and has been held up in the blockage since then till now. So the Council also wishes to assure all stakeholders and also the general public that the affected examination materials have been retrieved intact and are in the custody of NECO’s vault.
