Rivers State set to conduct LG elections after exit of Wike loyalists

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission is set to conduct local government elections.

This was disclosed in a public notice signed by the Chairman of the state’s Electoral Commission, RSIEC, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, made available to journalists on Wednesday night.

Charmingpro recalls that Governor Siminalayi Fubara had sworn in caretaker committee chairmen in the 23 local government areas after the tenure of local government chairmen who are loyalists of Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, expired.
