Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Chairman and CEO of the Ineos chemicals group, has expressed interest in purchasing Manchester United from the Glazers, Charmingpro reports.

Ratcliffe wants to buy a stake in the club with the intention of taking full control if the Glazers welcome new investment, according to Charmingpro.

Ratcliffe would welcome the opportunity to meet with the club’s American owners, according to a spokesman for the Ineos billionaire.

“If the club is for sale, Jim is unquestionably a potential buyer,” said the spokesman.

Charmingpro previously reported that the Glazer family is finally willing to sell Manchester United.

According to reports, the infamous Red Devils owners are considering selling a minority stake in the club as the pressure mounts.

According to the report, the Glazers have had preliminary discussions about bringing in a new investor.

However, they are unwilling to relinquish control of United, which could be worth around £5 billion.
