Nigerian street sensation Portable (Habeeb Okikiola) has publicly challenged his ex-record label, branding the recent phone-theft allegations as baseless and coercive.
He described the accusations as “a clear case of intimidation and bullying,” rejecting the claim that he swiped a phone while under contract. Portable maintains he was mischaracterized and pressured once he began expressing intentions to leave the label.
This latest controversy echoes past incidents where Portable was allegedly mistreated by his former management—including claims surrounding leaked nude footage that circulated online. At the time, he felt scapegoated when tensions rose over artist contracts and creative control.
Now, with these phone-theft rumors resurfacing, Portable is taking a firm stand—denouncing what he sees as a campaign to tarnish his name and limit his career freedom.
